31 Week Belly Pic
When I go out, people now take the liberty to ask when I'm due. This doesn't bother me at all, it's actually kind of fun. The part that is really funny is when I tell them I'm due in March and their eyes open wide and their mouth drops open and they mutter something like "WOW! You've got a HEALTHY baby" or "Whoa! You're not due till March??!!" or "Wow, you're HUGE!". Yes, I actually have gotten all of these responses from perfect strangers which I find pretty hilarious. I also find myself not understanding why people react the way they do. When I look down, the bump doesn't seem that big. Then Paul reminds me that I am also looking over my gigantic breasts, and then I see these pictures we took last night at my 31 week mark and I understand a little better why people react the way they do.

Oh, The Places You'll Go!
You have been ALL over the place already. Here's and update on all the places you've gone:
- September - California
- September - Las Vegas
- October - Chicago
- November - California
- December / January - Denver & Boulder (let's not forget to mention the Denver Broncos game)
You've also been to a concert, three 3D movies, and a hike on an 11,000 foot mountain above Boulder. Pretty sweet.
Predictions
We went to Denver over New Years and spent some time with one of Paul's uncles, Corky. Corky had this to say about my pregnancy:
- You're going to be HUGE by March.
- You're going to have a girl.
- She's going to be over 9 pounds.
- You're going to deliver on March 12th.
Can't wait to see how many of these he gets correct!
Weekly Survey
How far along? 30 weeks 4 days (OMG!!!!)
Maternity clothes? Um......belly is starting to grow OUT of the maternity clothes. Not really, but that's what it feels like.
Bajunga (aka Chest) Measurement: after a horrible bra shopping trip to Macys over Thanksgiving with my patient sister and Mom I'm fitting into Victoria's Secret 34DD. If you're small around your rib cage and have huge boobs, you basically have to either wear OLD LADY bras or special order them. Fun. Can't wait till the bajungas get even bigger. Yay!
Noticeable Belly Bump? So noticeable in fact that people are outraged when I tell them I'm not due until March. The general reaction I receive is "you're not due to March? You're HUGE!"
Cravings: None really. My eating has been oddly normal.
Food Aversions: Still squash although I might be able to choke it down. Dill too. Don't get that near me.
Sleep: Up at least once a night to pee. Sleeping pretty well, lower back and hips are starting to ache at night but I'm dealing with it.
Best Moment This Week: Going to see the Denver Broncos play at 7 1/2 months pregnant.
Most Absurd Pregnancy Comment This Week: Not this week, but ahwile ago Paul and I were driving to Kalamazoo. I said to him "the baby hasn't been very active today" and Paul says "like what, barking?" .....big pregnant pause while I stare blankly at his face. Paul: "oh, you mean the baby, not Lola". That was priceless.
Signs of Life: HUGE signs of life. To the point where I have NO idea what this child is doing inside of me. Seriously, what could be going on in there because I have NO idea. I keep waiting to actually see a foot through my belly.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button In or Out? In
What I Miss: Hmm.....not having an achy back or having to actually make an effort to move my body.
What I Am Looking Forward To: Meeting this baby! And seeing if it's a boy or a girl. More and more people are jumping on the girl wagon which makes things very interesting.
Number of Times I said "Do you think I just killed the baby?": I have officially grown out of this. It's moved more to worry that the baby is healthy.
Weekly Wisdom: Do yoga during pregnancy, especially if you're pregnant in the winter and it snows where you live. My balance is so much better and I'm certain I have avoided numerous falls because of my balance being better.
Milestones: A ton, since the last post. Movement. Third Trimester. Significant showing. Movement. Did I say movement?
